My father told me to write down a speech before I gave it. He said I would be fine either way, but better if I wrote it. That advice holds for most of what happens at camp. Meals arrive on a schedule, so the seating, the allergy plan and the new camper who needs a friend can all be settled before anyone walks in the door.
